When you have questions about being blind, you can always talk to me. When you want to talk about music and Spotify, you can talk to me, Spotify is my best friend. But when it’s freezing outside, and it’s cold, and you have to walk through this cold for so many days in a row, and you feel like you’re going to freeze? Talk to God.
What’s up everyone, it’s me, Landon, writing to you from a car. I had to walk through this desolate cold to get into the car. Some might argue that I only had to take about six steps, since the car was parked near the door of our house, but I see it differently. I see it as six steps too many for this weather.
Jacket Pride is tomorrow. It’s the last one before January, so everyone make sure you have extra fun at this one.
The Palmetto Bowl was this past Saturday, and I can’t tell you how many people were so excited that Gamecocks won. I’m pretty sure the score was 17 to 14. I wasn’t paying attention, I was listening to music on full blast in my ears. One day I’ll go deaf, but as long as it’s not any time soon I’ll be fine.
As everyone has probably heard a billion times by now, the Winter Formal is on Saturday. Tickets cost $15, and are available for purchase until tomorrow at 3 PM. The theme is Winter in Paris, and it is a formal, so dress up formally and have fun.
I’m so so sorry to say that Thanksgiving is over, and has been for a while. Or, it feels like a while. I miss getting fat off of food, with no limitations, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until next year. Or Christmas, whichever comes first.
The Buford Choir concert is Monday, December 9, and you should definitely come to that. The choir is coming together to sing different pieces, and then there are solos. It should be a night to remember.
I love choir. It’s probably my third religion, my second is Spotify and my first is Christianity. And me being in choir is also a point that I try to remember, especially when I’m upset about something. People should use their accomplishments as a reminder that others should not hold them back from doing what they want. Take advice from your friends and family, but the bottom line is, if you want to do something, do it, and if you mess up then learn from your mistakes.
I just know that if I let people’s opinions dictate my life, I would not be where I am today.
And finally, the Buford Band concert is Tuesday, December 10th. You don’t have to go to this one, they’re band kids after all, but you should anyway. They’ve been working ALMOST as hard as us choir kids, and they deserve to be heard as well.
Well, that’s it for this week. Hopefully all students will have an awesome Jacket Pride tomorrow, and hopefully they’ll have an even better weekend. Until next time, it’s your favorite blind Jacket.
