Hello Jackets! It’s me, Landon Bryson, writing to you from… wait. I can’t see where the intro is. Oh, that’s because I didn’t write one like usual. Um… I can’t think of one to write! You guys think of one and tell me what you want.
Anyways, this blog entry is purely focused on giving school information for upcoming events that I am aware of. If I leave anything out, its because I don’t know when, where, what, who, why and how it is. Sorry!
The Addams Family musical will be running from April 18 and 19. On Friday, April 18, the show will take place at the Buford Multipurpose building at 6 30. On Saturday, there will be two shows, one at 2:00PM and the other at 6: 30PM. Tickets are $7. I strongly suggest you come and watch the amazing performance. I speak for the entire cast when I say that we have worked extremely hard, learning melodies, perfecting choreography, adjusting timing, etc. Show up and have a blast!
The Buford band’s spring concert will be on April 29, also in the multipurpose building. The band has also worked really hard to perform this incredible show, and they will continue to work hard over the next few weeks. The concert starts at 6 PM.
Finally, the Buford chorus spring concert is on May 15, MPB, 6 PM.
With each and every one of these events comes the promise of music, which sounds amazing to me. Music is such a special thing. It can change the emotions of someone in an instant, it can turn a situation around in one note. I don’t think people realize how important music is, and how its meanings can apply to everyone.
Everyone can relate to inspiring or tragic melodies, wonderful or beautiful stringed promises of peace… Now I’m yapping about it but it’s just that amazing to me.
It also amazes me that songwriters to this day can still come up with new melodies, new lyrics. It reminds me that with all the amazing and unique songs in the world, there’s always room for one more. It’s the same with people. No matter how many amazing people you think are better than you, there is always room for yourself.
Well, that’s it for this week! For some reason I still couldn’t think of an intro, and I kind of realized that you can’t walk up to me and tell me what to say. So, I guess I’ll just have to think harder next time. Good thing I’ll have plenty of time for that during Spring break, which is 5 school days away, April 21-25. Yay! Until next time, it’s your favorite blind Jacket!
