“Art this semester has been a surprise. I came in here and realized that we didn’t have a teacher. It’s been challenging since our teacher is online and he can’t really teach us from there. It’s just been assignments. It’s been okay, I enjoyed it last year especially because we had a teacher and it was fun. I still love art. The most challenging thing so far is probably the animation project we have to do. We have to do it in stop-motion. I’ve never done animation before so I’m really scared for it, and I’m not sure if it will turn out well. Do I think the animation exam is fair? No, not at all. All the other art classes I’ve taken have not even touched the topic, so the fact that we’re jumping to animation… I don’t think it’s fair. I think we should have a different final project. But my favorite part has been drawing still life. We just did skeletons, I liked it and mine turned out really well. I was able to challenge myself. I didn’t think it was going to turn out good but it did. Right now I’m working on something for our stop motion animations. We’re doing the background scenes right now.”
