“Serving in the military was a great honor and a privilege. It taught me discipline, taught me how to be a better person. It gave me a direction. I was kind of a rebel in high school, I didn’t have a way, I wasn’t respectful of authority, so I think being in the military changed me. It made me better, gave me a sense of pride in myself to be better. I think it was a pleasure; it was an honor and I’m glad I did.”
