Walking down the stairs of my house, greeted by the warm smells of the kitchen, I’m happy. When everyone else has finally left, and I’m the one who gets to eat pecan pie for the next week, I’m happy. When my brother Connor leaves to go hunting with my pawpaw, and I have the whole room to myself… I’m happy!
Hello Jackets! It’s me, Landon Bryson, writing to you with a few fun topics. Well, I think they’re fun. If you don’t, then too bad.
Buford High School is hosting a Winter Formal. The theme? Winter in Paris. The dance will take place on December 7th, from 7 to 10 PM. So parents, if you want your kids to get out of the house, this is a perfect opportunity. And high schoolers, get out there and try new things. Even if you don’t feel like it, even if you’d rather play video games, trying new things is part of life. A high school experience is what you make it, and getting involved is one way of a maybe positive setting.
Me? Personally I would rather be at home, snacking on candy and drinking soda, but I’m going to the dance. It just feels right to go to it.
With Thanksgiving coming up, everyone is excited. With Thanksgiving BREAK coming up, everyone is ecstatic! I know I am. Even if it’s only three days, it’s three days out of school, and that’s all that matters.
Every year my mom and I cook the same awesome dessert for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The name that people call it that’s my favorite to hear? Puppy Chow. It’s Chex Mix cereal. The cereal is covered with chocolate and powdered sugar. Me and my mom cooking this amazing treat is a great reminder of something to be thankful for. I’m thankful for the fact that I get to cook a meal with my mom, that I have the resources to cook something in the first place. A braille microwave is very useful, because otherwise I’d be pressing random buttons.
That’s all for this week! Stay tuned for all Stinger posted content. Even though I don’t know everything they post, I know it’s all amazing, and you should watch it. Until next time, it’s your favorite blind Jacket.
