Dancing, Costumes, and Compliments

It’s officially the month of Halloween. People are dressing up as weirdos, nerds, losers, and the occasional Michael Myers. I’m just sitting here with a cane in my hand, not knowing what to be. Maybe I’ll just be myself. What’s cooler than that? Wow. Humble as always.

Hello Jackets! It’s me, Landon Bryson, writing to you and requesting that you PLEASE give suggestions for my costume. If I don’t get something by two weeks, I’ll just be myself, I mean, that’s an awesome idea. (I manage those from time to time).

In other news, the BHS chorus department is hosting a dinner theater. Pasta, desserts, salads, and drinks will be provided. The students will serve and sing for you, so it should be an awesome clash of musical deliciousness. It will be on October 23rd, 6 PM for people who make reservations, 6:30 for people who show up at normal time. There will also be a kids room for any person in elementary school. The tickets to access that room are $5, but if you don’t feel like letting your kids watch an awesome movie and eat some of the world’s best kids food, then regular tickets for kids and adults are $10 each. We hope to see you there!

The homecoming dance was a few weeks ago, and I’m not gonna lie, I was convinced–forced–to dance. If you know anything about me, you know that I HATE dancing. But I decided–forced– to partake in the Cupid Shuffle. It was rough, but people swore that I didn’t do bad, so maybe there’s hope for my dance skills after all.

I can’t believe that this year is almost over. I mean, it obviously doesn’t feel like it right now, but it’s already October. Pretty soon it will be 2026, another crazy year for the masses.
I think something I want people to learn is to use their time in a kind way. Compliment someone, take the time to be there for someone else. I don’t think we realize the impact of our words, and one respectful statement can make a difference in someone’s life.

Well, that’s all for this week. I hope to see some of you at the chorus dinner theater. Until next time, it’s your favorite blind Jacket!
